1) Family’s Love And Support
Most of us cannot function without the help of family members, and the lack of their help can cause turmoils in our lives. You’re right to be thankful for your family! If you don’t know what else to say, start with love and support. And remember, your family isn’t limited to blood relatives—think about friends and others who support you as well. And the time spent alone is not worth it when compared to a full life spent surrounded by loved ones. It’s something we all should be grateful for.
It’s easy to lose sight of what we have sometimes but it’s important that we take a moment out of our day to look at the blessings we have. There are many reasons why you should feel grateful today and one of them is being at home with the family! This is one of the most underrated out of all the things to be thankful for.
Be thankful for your health because it’s an asset that is easily taken for granted. It’s ok if you don’t have time to go to the gym regularly, or if you simply enjoy exercising at home, what matters is your gratitude and its effect on your health. Your health is always something to be thankful for.
Even though it may not feel like it on some days, especially when dealing with an illness or chronic pain, we should never take our health for granted. It’s a blessing that so many people around us don’t have—and one we should never forget about as we continue to strive toward greater overall wellness. This also means that emotional and mental health is also the things to be thankful for.
Food is a true blessing and it pains my heart to see people throwing away food like it means nothing. It is understandable to throw food that has gone bad but what if it would never have to come to that point? By being thankful for the food we get to eat every day we can be more mindful of not getting extra food. Food is definitely at the top of the things to be thankful for.
4) True Friends
Why is it fourth on the list of things to be thankful for! every relationship has its ups and downs, but friendships are one of life’s most powerful joys. Most of us have spent at least a few years in school or college, and remember all too well how it felt to be without any real friends.
Thankfully, though, our adult lives are often filled with great friends we wouldn’t trade for anything. Friends can mean everything from good times to emotional support. And since real friends are so rare, they deserve gratitude. That’s why friends are in the top 10s in the things to be thankful for.
5) Home – Cozy Place Away From Chaos
We spend a lot of time stressing over things we don’t have in life, but these simple things can be so important. There’s nothing like coming home to a comforting feeling and having someone you love there with you after a long day. And the peace we find at home is also one of the things to be thankful for. It helps remind us that there are many things to be thankful for, even if they seem small or insignificant.
We may have problems at work or financial issues…but we still have our family and friends; that shouldn’t go unappreciated! And for those who are working from home, it’s a blessing to be able to do so. And that leads me to the next thing to be thankful for, which is possessions.
Be thankful for all of your possessions, whether you’re in not so good situation or living comfortably. Many people think that being thankful for possessions makes them materialistic, but it doesn’t have to be that way; gratitude can also help you appreciate what you already have while desiring less or more.
Gratitude is a powerful emotion, and when you’re grateful for what you have, it can increase your level of happiness. It’s the humbleness and gratitude that counts, that is why possessions are very important in this list of things to be thankful for.
7) Money Also Deserves Gratitude
Money is an important part of life as well as important in the list of things to be thankful for. If you don’t have enough, you won’t be able to pay your bills and support yourself or your family. Without money, we can’t survive very long in modern society, which means being thankful for what we have and how it allows us to live our lives is important.
8) Thank Yourself For Accomplishments
If you took inventory of your personal accomplishments, what would you find? While it might seem like a good thing to think only about what’s ahead of you or what needs to be done today, it’s actually important to reflect and be thankful for where you are right now.
Writing down a list of accomplishments can make us feel more accomplished in other areas of our lives as well. So take some time out of your day to write down all that is great in your life. This will also give you the confidence to get out there and achieve even more success.
9) Show Some Gratitude To Our Environment
The environment has always been a priority for me, so being thankful for clean air and water is one of my favorite things. I think it’s especially important that we pay more attention to it ever than before. If the place we are living in will be destroyed one day then all the things we are working for today will be for nothing.
10) Thankful For Innovations That Are Making Our Lives Easy
There are so many advancements in technology that we use today that I am thankful for, but it would be remiss of me not to mention one: The Internet. Did you know that when Tim Berners-Lee released his invention to fellow scientists in 1991, he probably couldn’t have predicted how much our lives would change? Now almost every home has access to information about pretty much anything 24/7, and it’s made life easier for millions of people!
Electricity, internet, vehicles, home electronics, medical equipment (you’ll be really thankful for if you’ve ever watched a youtube video on how they were 100s of years ago), and whatnot.
